Fashion over function? We may see that paradigm coming to end. Whilst the skate's resemblance to a shoe is no accident, it is partly due to the shell's construction out of glass fibre. This provides the necessary ankle support and eliminates the need for a cuff.

Why wouldn't you want a cuff? The glass fibre brings the boot very close to your foot. This increases the skate's responsiveness and accuracy whilst, simultaneously, reducing "bulk". This makes the skate slimmer without affecting performance. The recall memory fit makes it extremely comfortable too!

How about the frames? As you'd expect from a Powerslide skate, the Pheme comes mounted with an elite cast aluminium TRINITY 3 x 100 frame (see below for frame length relative to skate size). This lowers your centre of gravity, distributes your weight more evenly, reduces road vibrations and provides excellent power transfer.
